Samantha Ashmankas, MSW, LICSW

(she/her)

Licensed Therapist

Samantha earned her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and brings a strengths-based, whole-person approach to her clinical work. Rooted in a belief in the inherent resilience and goodness within each individual, she focuses not on what is "lacking" or "broken," but on the fuller picture of who a person is. Her experience in community mental health deepened her commitment to the concept of "person in environment," informing how she collaborates thoughtfully with clients to co-create personalized treatment plans.

Samantha integrates both cognitive and somatic approaches in her practice, drawing on mindfulness and body-based techniques to help clients reconnect with their own agency and capacity for healing. She views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, guided by care, precision, and deep respect for each person's innate strengths.

What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action.

– Meister Eckhart
