Marielle Joseph, MSW, LCSW
(she/her/hers)
Pre-Licensed Therapist
Marielle is an LCSW working towards completing her hours to become an LICSW (hopefully by the end of 2023). She graduated with her MSW from Anna Maria College in 2020. Marielle's clinical experiences include working as an intensive in-home family therapist, as a residential clinician at an adolescent group home, as a school-based outpatient clinician, and in psychiatric emergency services.
Marielle also has experience working in her undergraduate institution (Clark University) Student Accessibility Services Office, and has a passion for helping individuals receive equal learning opportunities. This passion led her to also conduct her capstone research for her MSW on barriers to accessing Disability Services at Anna Maria College.
Marielle is especially passionate about working with children, youth and families to explore and enhance family dynamics, and is also a strong advocate for transitional age youth with disabilities trying to navigate post-secondary education and work settings for the first time. She has experience working this population to strengthen their sense of self-worth and self-advocacy so that they feel confident in communicating their needs appropriately.
Marielle has training in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, IMR, and Solution Focused
Therapy. She primarily uses a strength-based and solution-focused lens with her clients, often incorporating aspects of CBT, solution focused therapy, DBT and motivational interviewing. Marielle is a firm believer in meeting clients where they are and supporting them to feel like the best version of themselves as an individual and/or family unit.
What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action.
